Shilpi Roy is the writer/director/producer of two seasons of the web series Hipsterhood, which won “Best Comedy Web Series” in the LA Weekly Web Awards and was nominated for “Best Returning Series” at the IAWTV awards. A graduate of USC film school, Shilpi has worked for entertainment giants such as Warren Littlefield, former head of NBC, and Robert Greenwald of Brave New Films. She also worked as a digital content producer for Playboy TV. Shilpi currently has a feature in development at her production shingle Odd Frames Media, and is developing season 3 of Hipsterhood.
Since earning a BA in film at Northwestern and an MFA in cinematography from the University of Southern California, Anthony Kuhnz has shot over 100 short films, music videos and industrials. He has also worked on several feature films, including Homecoming, which won numerous awards on the festival circuit, and four upcoming episodes of the Emmy Award-winning Travelscope for PBS. Anthony is also a prolific musician and motion graphics artist, working in After Effects, Motion, and Maya.
Nicole Blaine is a writer, producer, director, actor, and stand-up comic who directed Matt Marcy’s original theatrical magic show, Disillusioned: Confessions of a Serial Magician. She starred in her own acclaimed one-woman show Pipe Dreams, as well as the feature film Commit and the web series I’m Harry Clark. Nicole is currently producing a pilot based on her hit stand-up show, Virgin Sacrifice.
A graduate of Temple University’s Film & Media Arts Program, Alexis Treadwell honed her craft as a writer, director and actor by double majoring in both Theatre and Film. Alexis developed her producing skills while working with such powerhouse names as Lee Daniels, Alicia Keys, and BAFTA nominated director Julie Anne Robinson.
Mike Varela is an audio engineer with the Screen Actors Guild Foundation and Deluxe Media. He is the owner and primary engineer of NuanceTone, an independent audio post house that mixes independent film products, handles foley and ADR, and polishes audio books for audible.com.
Mike Meehan is a prolific Los Angeles-based composer who has created score for CBS’ Cold Case, Showtime’s The Tudors, and Dreamworks’ Megamind, as well as the CW pilot Joey Dakota. He’s also scored ad campaigns and commercials for Nintendo, Capcom, Nike, Fiat, Radioshack, and Burger King.
Matt Marcy is the creator of Disillusioned: The Series (based on his hit theatrical show Disillusioned: Confessions of a Serial Magician), as well as the writer, executive producer, editor, and head of craft services. What do you expect? This is the first season of a web series!
